Around the World

Here's a picture before the quilt was put together. Around the World is a traditional Amish pattern. I love mixing traditional patterns with contemporary fabrics. The Amish don't use patterned fabric, only plain. As you can see, these fabrics are anything but plain. It took me almost an entire weekend to pick out the 12 fabrics used, and less than a day to piece the top. Another day to get it together and bound. I am extremely pleased with this quilt.
